About The Position

Allegion is a company dedicated to safety and security, with over 40 brands and a global presence. Stanley Access Technologies, a division of Allegion, is a leader in automatic doors. The Distributor Sales Manager role is a 'player-coach' position responsible for driving direct sales growth and leading a distribution sales team. This role involves maintaining relationships with distribution partners, mentoring team members, setting up new distributors, executing product seminars, and driving overall product sales through distribution. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred (equivalent experience acceptable).
  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations, with a strong emphasis on supervisory, coaching, or team leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated passion for employee development, team building, and fostering an engaged workplace culture.
  • Practical knowledge of trucking, transportation management, and freight optimization.
  • Familiarity with import/export requirements and company security practices (C-TPAT) preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and deliver measurable cost or service gains through team empowerment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; highly customer-focused and results-oriented.
  • Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
  • Company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status.

Responsibilities

  • Actively coach, train, and mentor Distribution Relationship Managers and sales team members.
  • Foster a positive, high-energy team culture and implement recognition programs.
  • Provide consistent onsite leadership and field support, traveling with team members to distributor meetings.
  • Guide the team through complex processes like logistical order processing, pricing administration, and forecasting.
  • Be the primary point of contact for customer, plant, and branch escalations.
  • Partner with the Distribution team to identify and execute opportunities for additional sales growth.
  • Maintain focused efforts on building solid relationships with key Distributor and International customers.
  • Act as the primary liaison between distributor partners, Allegion RSO branches, and internal AAT departments.
  • Oversee and collaborate with the team on new product launches, promotional activities, and new distributor onboarding.
  • Guide the team in analyzing distributor partner performance, industry trends, and competitive pricing.
