About The Position

This is a full-time salaried exempt Sales role reporting to our National Sales Manager for Specialty Markets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to consistently maintain a high level of focused sales activity, be an aggressive risk-taker who is results-oriented, pro-active and has a high degree of personal accountability and self-direction. The role requires consistently stretching to achieve higher levels of performance and efficiency, demonstrating excellent oral and written communication skills, sound judgment, and incorporating company goals into personal goals. Candidates must hold themselves to the highest standards of ethics and integrity and practice Company values on a day-to-day basis. The role involves driving sales of the complete Netafim line, with a particular focus on the Landscape and Greenhouse and Nursery Products Portfolio. A consistent presence in the market with a heavy call volume to Contractors, Distribution Partners, and other key stakeholders is expected. The role requires managing the defined sales territory through accurate forecasting, expense budgeting, market, and competitor analysis. Continuous engagement with immediate team members to develop territory, market, and project strategies is necessary. Maintaining comprehensive, accurate, and updated territory records using the company CRM software platform is essential, as is using the CRM to prepare project opportunities and customer quotes. Conducting educational seminars, tours, and assisting in managing demonstrations are key responsibilities. The role involves calling regular or prospective customers to solicit orders and meeting or exceeding sales goals for sales, net income, and market-share. Demonstrating products, pointing out salable features, developing local sales tools, and marketing programs are also part of the role. Assisting in the development of sales presentations, specific documentation, and various marketing or sales materials for product promotion, training, or education is required. Providing product education to all customer groups, ensuring a complete understanding of Netafim product features, advantages, benefits, pricing, credit terms, and durability is crucial. Promoting products at trade shows and conferences, assisting in market research and competitor information, and collaborating with the marketing department to increase brand awareness are also key duties. A strong commitment to annual personal development is expected. The role requires travel throughout the assigned territory of the South Texas Region.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of selling, marketing, and financial aspects of managing a business at the territory level
  • Will call upon end-users, contractors, distributors, and other influencers in the chain of sale
  • Adept at selling a high-value package of products and services
  • Possess finely tuned presentation skills
  • Ability to understand the design, installation, and maintenance of an irrigation system and the benefits to a prospective customer in a consultative manner
  • Ability to achieve results while working with diverse personality types and styles, both internal and external. Positive contributions in a high-energy team environment will be expected
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to be covered under our corporate liability insurance
  • Will reside within the defined territory, preferably in the region of Houston, San Antonio, Austin
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Landscape / Irrigation industry, design, installation or operation experience required.
  • Fluency in English required
  • Ability to bend, reach, and lift boxes and office supplies up to 40 lbs. in and out of vehicle
  • Travel daily by company provided vehicle and some by airline
  • Travel will be up to 50% overnight

Responsibilities
