The Distributions Specialist is responsible for the accounting functions undertaken by the Trust department in its administration of trusts, agency accounts, estates, conservatorships, and IRAs. This role involves accurately posting all transactions on the trust accounting system without direction, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and according to client instructions, and archiving all documentation related to cash transactions. The specialist will proactively communicate with clients via phone to advise them of the status of their requests, quickly remediate any issues or concerns, and ensure all procedures related to client contact are adhered to. Under the guidance of senior team members, the role will assist in cashiering activities for institutional client conversions and deconversions, and develop an understanding of complex distribution activities such as Roth conversions, alternative asset re-registrations, and plan distributions. The position also requires demonstrating compliance with all bank regulations, following all Bank policies and procedures, and maintaining a working knowledge of relevant regulations like Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, and Regulation E. Additionally, the role may involve coaching, mentoring, or training others, and fostering the Columbia corporate culture.
