About The Position

This role is for a 2nd shift Distribution Team Lead. The Team Lead will partner with the Supervisor to support employee performance, manpower utilization, and training needs. They will plan, organize, and maintain standard operating practices, lead daily warehouse activities, and communicate workload and priorities. The position involves adjusting staffing, providing on-the-job training, coaching, and direction. The Team Lead will review productivity reports, use problem-solving techniques to resolve operational challenges, and perform associate duties when needed. Ensuring same-day shipment of completed goods and reporting safety, quality, productivity, equipment, or personnel concerns to the Supervisor are key responsibilities. Additional duties may be assigned to support department and business needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
At least one year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
Previous experience with leadership or team coordination responsibilities
Ability to understand and communicate quality requirements and oversee daily operations
Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with email communication
Willingness to learn and use a computer and job-related software
Ability to instruct and direct a small team performing varied tasks

Nice To Haves

Prior experience using JD Edwards (JDE) or similar warehouse/ERP systems
Additional certifications, coursework, or technical training related to operations or leadership
Experience supporting continuous improvement or safety initiatives

Responsibilities

Partner with the Supervisor to support employee performance, manpower utilization, and ongoing training needs
Plan, organize, and help maintain standard operating practices and procedures within the department
Lead and guide team members in day-to-day warehouse activities
Communicate daily workload and priorities, assigning tasks to ensure efficient flow of work
Adjust staffing levels in collaboration with other Team Leads and Supervisors to meet customer demand
Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and direction to team members
Review and analyze productivity and kitting reports to support established performance goals
Use problem-solving techniques to identify and resolve operational challenges
Perform associate or operator duties when operational needs require additional support
Ensure completed goods are shipped the same day whenever possible
Report safety, quality, productivity, equipment, or personnel concerns to the Supervisor
Complete additional duties as assigned to support department and business needs
