About The Position

As a Distribution Supervisor, you’ll be part of our Jackson team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to ensure safety of employees via active safety culture management, policy enforcement, and assisting in developing improvements to our business. You will maintain a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the department’s mission in an effective and efficient manner. You will plan and coordinate work by performing time studies, cost analysis, or other means as necessary. You will train and motivate; monitor and evaluate performance of associates in the department. You will ensure our associates ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations. You will focus on team member engagement, effectively build relationships and trust with the team to successfully execute daily/weekly/monthly goals. You will develop Team Leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned associates. You will monitor, measure, and document department performance for cost, labor, and productivity requirements. Working with the Human Resources Department, you will select employees through the normal hiring process, consistently administer policies and procedures as applicable, monitor employee performance/attendance/time, resolve associate relation issues, coach and counsel for improvement and apply discipline consistently where necessary up to and including termination of employment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree Preferred; minimum requirement of associate’s degree.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing setting.
  • Minimum 1+ years' recent relevant leadership experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with inventory or warehouse software, databases, and other systems including SAP and WMS, preferred
