Our 122,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries. We are seeking a Distribution Specialist for Abbott Vascular in our Westford, MA site. This is an onsite role. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of related work experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office (word, excel, and outlook)
  • Ability to perform tasks in a quality system environment
  • Familiarity with basics of Good Manufacturing/Documentation Practices
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
  • Ability to push/pull up to 250lbs using manual and/or powered pallet handling equipment
  • Attention to detail with regard to part/batch numbers, documentation, and timely transactions

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems, preferably SAP

Responsibilities

  • Receive materials to be accurately stored in warehouse
  • Accurately prepare orders for shipping to customer sites according to process
  • Label and meter packages with various freight systems
  • Packages orders to include pick list from the box, and filling in open spaces and packs materials according to specifications or knowledge of shipping practices to prepare the package for labeling and distribution to the customer.
  • Process orders using the SAP system
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment within the warehouse
  • Daily preparations for the following days distribution activities
  • Support all Divisional initiatives as identified by divisional management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Health Systems (EHS), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations
  • Solves problems of limited scope and complexity with direction from lead or co-workers.
  • Maintain a neat and safe work environment.
  • Some areas will require the handling of chemicals with proper training and PPE.
  • Support all initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
