About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Associate prepares, packages, and processes outbound shipments and inbound materials to support efficient warehouse operations. Duties include scanning products into the system, processing pallets and boxes, weighing and labeling items, and assembling shipments according to company standards. The associate also breaks down inbound pallets, verifies counts, updates the system to resolve discrepancies, wraps pallets, applies labels and corner boards, and moves finished goods to the appropriate dock doors. The role requires meeting hourly productivity goals and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in accordance with 5S practices.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to follow all Safety, Health, and Environmental guidelines, policies, rules, and training.
Basic math and reading-comprehension aptitude.
Ability to read and interpret a manifest, packing list, and complex shipping codes.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Process shipments via UPS and FedEx and load products into trailers.
Systematically process pallets through LIDS by scanning products into the system.
Weigh, measure, and label products.
Process boxes systematically according to pack size and physically assemble them.
Package products, label boxes, and tape them.
Break down inbound pallets and systematically process receipts.
Review quantity discrepancies and update the system as needed.
Wrap pallets using a wrap machine.
Ensure labels left by distribution attendants are assigned to the correct pallet.
Put corner boards on products when appropriate.
Move products to dock doors when appropriate.
Meet hourly productivity goals and follow and maintain the hour-by-hour board.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensure 5S is followed.
