The Distribution Outage Coordinator is responsible for creating accurate switching and tagging orders, resolving construction scheduling conflicts, organizing and leading switching meetings, and developing and maintaining the switching template. This role acts as a lead for the Energy Control Center, maintaining knowledge of the Distribution System's current status to ensure its integrity and the highest level of safety. The position also involves pursuing technological advances for the Energy Control Center, ensuring the accuracy of records and data, monitoring and evaluating Energy Control Center effectiveness, and providing skill development through on-the-job training. The coordinator will monitor operators and direct field personnel during normal and emergency conditions, evaluate disturbance data, determine corrective actions, and communicate operational events and equipment problems to relevant personnel. Additionally, the role requires representing the company on committees and task forces to drive change and ensure availability for 24/7 coverage during emergencies.
