About The Position

A food distribution center is seeking an individual with practical experience in warehouse operations to train and guide staff in their daily functions. This position is focused on operational training within the warehouse. It is not an HR training function. The selected individual will work directly on the floor, demonstrating processes, reinforcing safety practices, and helping employees execute their tasks correctly.

Requirements

Previous experience in warehouses, distribution centers, logistics, or inventory management.
Knowledge of receiving, storage, selection, and dispatch processes for merchandise.
Ability to explain procedures and demonstrate tasks clearly and practically.
Good communication, organization, and group management skills.
Ability to provide respectful and effective feedback.
Knowledge of safety standards applicable to warehouse operations.
Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Availability to work in person and continuously move around operational areas.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
Availability to work flexible hours according to operational needs.

Nice To Haves

Experience as an operational trainer, team leader, key employee, supervisor, or warehouse manager.
Experience in food distribution centers.
Knowledge of food safety, good manufacturing practices, or HACCP procedures.
Experience using equipment or systems related to warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

Train new and current employees on warehouse operational processes.
Provide practical training in receiving, storage, product selection, inventory, and dispatch areas.
Explain and demonstrate correct procedures for merchandise handling.
Ensure employees understand and follow established operational procedures.
Reinforce occupational safety, food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
Provide guidance on the proper use of equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment.
Observe employee performance during the training process.
Identify reinforcement needs and offer additional guidance when necessary.
Document training provided, employee participation, and progress.
Keep operational training materials, guides, and procedures up-to-date.
Provide feedback to supervisors and managers on staff progress.
Support initiatives aimed at improving operation productivity, accuracy, and safety.
Promote compliance with good manufacturing practices and procedures applicable to food distribution.
Remain active in different warehouse areas to understand processes and training needs.
