About The Position

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Operations Manager to direct the daily operations of its Regional Redistribution Service Center in Wentzville, Missouri. The facility receives, processes, ships, stores, and delivers flooring and related materials, supporting a regional service area that includes Northwest Indiana, Southwest Kentucky, Missouri, and Southern areas as stated in the posting.

The manager oversees a team of 18 associates, including drivers and warehouse associates, across two shifts. The role is responsible for operational performance in safety, customer experience, associate engagement, and cost efficiency, while ensuring efficient use of transportation equipment and personnel. The manager works with Sales and Customer Service to address customer exceptions, reports facility performance and improvement opportunities to the Regional Supply Chain Director, and supports the expansion of Shaw Truck’s market presence. The listed work shift is an 8-hour, non-rotating shift starting in the morning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of logistics experience; or an associate degree and at least 3 years of logistics experience; or a high school diploma/GED and 5–7 years of logistics management or supervisory experience.
• Capability and aspiration to progress within the organization.
• Experience working with hourly associates and guiding teams toward shared operational goals.
• Proven ability to coach and develop leadership teams to improve performance and operational efficiency.
• Commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Customer Service.
• Hands-on experience managing operational processes and resolving challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership experience within large and diverse organizational structures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction across teams and with external partners.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex workflows.
• Willingness and ability to travel to regional warehouse locations as needed.
• Demonstrated initiative and focus on achieving results.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Regional Distribution Center’s overall performance, including safety, customer experience, associate engagement, and cost efficiency.
• Provide clear and consistent direction to associates across shifts, remove operational barriers, and support effective daily execution.
• Reinforce performance expectations, coach associates, and support their growth and engagement.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve customer exceptions and uphold service standards.
• Report facility performance and continuous-improvement opportunities to the Regional Supply Chain Director.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols.
• Motivate associates to meet facility goals, implement process improvements, and foster ownership and initiative.
• Negotiate freight rates and secure new business to expand Shaw Truck’s market presence while meeting customer needs.
• Optimize transportation equipment and personnel for timely, efficient delivery and pickup services.
