About The Position
TJX Companies is offering Operations Internships within its Global Distribution and Fulfillment Networks for a 12-week summer program. Interns will gain hands-on experience in a worldwide logistics operation, working in a dynamic and collaborative environment focused on problem-solving and efficiency. The program includes extensive on-the-job training, ongoing mentorship, and exposure to inclusive culture and career growth opportunities within operations. Interns will support the execution and achievement of operational business goals and objectives, learning to lead diverse teams, collaborate with various functions, and shadow operations leaders. They will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of the off-price business model and contribute to process improvement initiatives. A key component of the internship is a process improvement project with a final presentation to Distribution executive team members.
Requirements
- Genuine interest in a long-term career within our worldwide logistics operation
- Rising Juniors and Seniors currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program or students enrolled in 2-year degree program
- Available for the full duration of the summer internship program
- Strong analytical thinkers with sophisticated problem-solving skills
- Proven leadership experience, team collaboration and strong communication skills
- Confidence and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- An entrepreneurial drive, strong worth ethic, and business acumen
- Able to accommodate a flexible work schedule depending on business needs
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop diverse teams
- Actively collaborate with various functions within the Distribution or Fulfillment Center
- Learn from and shadow TJX operations leaders
- Gain exposure to the full lifecycle of our off-price business model
- Identify and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Play an active role in the daily operations of a Fortune 100 company by leading a team of warehouse associates while keeping efficiency and safety top of mind
