About The Position

The purpose of the role is supporting the day-to-day operations of distribution from multiple assigned company operated warehouse locations in the West. This includes overseeing all warehouse functions to ensure they are carried out effectively and safely, and managing the distribution of all products, parts, and accessories. The manager ensures timely fulfillment of products to achieve fill rate goals, manages all warehouse activities, maintains contact with vendors for product receiving and delivery, and ensures orders are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years supervisory experience
  • 5+ years Transportation and Warehousing experience
  • DOT and Hazardous Communication Training
  • Proficient with computer (MS Office Programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Ability to train and motivate team members
  • Able to operate warehousing equipment and company vehicles
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Cost management
  • Strong scheduling and route-development skills
  • Demonstrated ability to generate results through team/staff

Responsibilities

  • Manage and facilitate all facets of supply management activities between business units
  • Implement sourcing strategies to support corporate and business units.
  • Understand, track and forecast the key cost drivers
  • Responsibility to evaluate, negotiate and track all contract terms for all equipment purchases
  • Coordinate with equipment providers for the scheduled delivery of materials and supplies
  • Locate, analyze, and develop a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future commodity needs
  • Working with the Regional management, wholesale sales, and corporate staff to identify cost efficiencies and sales opportunities.
  • Ensure the security of all company assets.
  • Ensure that all paperwork is completed and inventories are conducted accurately.
  • Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations
  • Oversee warehouse staff and ensure 100% pick accuracy
  • Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements
  • Ensure complete compliance with all regulatory agencies
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures
  • Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts, cycle counts and spot checks; reconcile inventory with electronic data storage systems
  • Maintain cost effective shipping methods and continuously strive to improve freight costs and efficiencies
  • Stock control – Inwards & Outwards Goods
