About The Position

At Airgas, we are looking for a Distribution Manager in North Las Vegas, NV. This role is responsible for coordinating the daily delivery of product to customers at the optimal and sustainable cost of distribution, considering legal and operational constraints. The Distribution Manager will provide transport drivers with planned routes, including loading and unloading points. This position also involves facilitating sales transactions, coordinating product supply, monitoring shipping volume, collaborating with logistics coordinators, communicating supply planning to customers, and supporting supply chain improvement projects. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve goals related to safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency. Additionally, the Distribution Manager will oversee inventory through ERP transactions, monitor demand and inventory levels, anticipate supply risks, calculate forecast accuracy, receive and support orders, provide visibility on inventory status, and monitor supply risks. Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, identifying logistics bottlenecks, and coordinating bulk distribution to clients and filling centers are also key responsibilities. The role involves analyzing, guiding, and optimizing costs to maintain vehicle efficiency, optimizing routes and frequencies, contributing to budget formation, and monitoring key efficiency indicators. Performing accurate data analysis and recommending collaborative adjustments are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Engineering Degree or Diploma in chemical/Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the daily delivery of product to customers at the optimal and sustainable cost of distribution, taking into account legal & operational constraints (compliance with local transportation regulations; product availability; availability of vehicles & drivers...)
  • Provide transport drivers with the planned route, including the loading & unloading points.
  • Facilitate sales transactions and coordinate product supply, including monitoring shipping volume, coordinating with logistics coordinators, communicating supply planning to customers, and supporting supply chain improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals related to safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Oversee inventory through ERP transactions, monitor demand and inventory levels, anticipate supply risks, calculate forecast accuracy, receive and support orders, provide visibility on inventory status, and monitor supply risks.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, work cross-functionally to achieve goals, and identify logistics bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate Bulk distribution to clients and filling centers, ensure optimal inventory levels at clients and plants, and perform demand or consumption analysis.
  • Ensure activity monitoring: Analyze, guide, and optimize costs to maintain vehicle efficiency, optimizing routes and frequencies.
  • Contribute to the formation of budgets.
  • Ensure monitoring of key efficiency indicators.
  • Perform accurate and relevant data analysis and recommend collaborative adjustments.
