The Distribution Lead will work closely with the Distribution Manager to lead the day-to-day executions of warehouse operations and associates.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 2~5 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or a related field, preferably in a supervisory or lead role
  • Solid understanding of distribution processes, including order processing, inventory management, warehouse operations, and shipping/receiving
  • Data entry and computer skills required
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, providing clear direction, coaching, and support to achieve performance goals
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certified is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Distribution Manager with oversight and direction of daily distribution activities; provide guidance to the team of Distribution Associates, including assigning tasks and providing coaching and feedback
  • Manage the receiving and unloading of products and sort and place products on racks, shelves, and bins according to the predetermined inventory procedure
  • Perform required administrative tasks such as invoicing, processing General Merchandise Returns, and communicating with relevant departments
  • Assist in training Distribution Associates and temporary employees
  • Receive pick orders from Customer Service and pull, pack, and ship
  • Control inventory levels by assisting with cycle counting and quarterly inventory counts
  • Identify areas for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance distribution efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe work environment for the distribution team
  • Manage employees with consistency and fairness
  • Other duties as assigned by management
