About The Position

The Distribution K Cell 1st Shift position picks and packs elevator installation kits, hardware, trough, and wire products for shipment to customers. Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Warehouse or distribution experience.
• Proficient English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Good physical condition for walking and standing for most of the day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Above-average forklift driving skills; training may be provided.
• Attention to detail in identifying correct items and quantities.
• Ability to identify materials and detect quality issues.
• Basic computer skills to operate a scan gun and computer shipping programs.
• Basic math skills for counting items.
• Initiative to manage and drive personal performance; direct supervision is available but not constant.
• Ability to operate a forklift, banding equipment, stretch-wrap machine, scales, dock boards, nail gun, bolt cutters, pallet jacks, various tools, scan gun, and calculator.

Responsibilities

• Pull and assemble hardware, trough, and wire products according to customer orders.
• Package materials into boxes and onto skids.
• Scan all materials with a scan gun to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Affix appropriate labels and packing lists.
• Prepare appropriate shipping documents.
• Operate a stretch-wrap machine to secure boxes and reels to a skid.
• Operate a forklift to load customer orders onto outgoing trucks.
• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and other inventory-control activities.
