About The Position

Big Tex Trailers is seeking a full-time Distribution Handler 1 to join their team in Wills Point, TX. This role involves ensuring the proper use of PPE, building shipping blocks, using tools like circular saws and air nailers, and operating a torque wrench to remove tires from trailers. The Distribution Handler will also be responsible for moving inspected trailers to storage areas using tractors or forklifts, pulling and stacking trailers for shipping, and loading trucks for shipment. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Candidates must be able to frequently lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 40+ pounds and will be continuously exposed to outside temperatures, weather, and a manufacturing/industrial environment.

Responsibilities

Appropriate usage of all required PPE.
Ensure that shipping blocks are cut and built using circular saws, air nailers, and other various hand tools.
Ability to use a torque wrench in order to remove tires from specific trailers.
Move inspected trailers out of inspection and to designated storage areas using tractors or forklifts as required.
Pull trailers and stack for shipping using safe stacking and loading practices.
Load trucks with trailers for shipment.
