About The Position

The Engineering Specialist I is responsible for collaboration with the Design Team to ensure assigned tasks are completed on time. This role involves applying intermediate engineering principles to produce accurate and precise calculations and design deliverables. The specialist will gain knowledge of transmission and distribution materials associated with basic and intermediate project designs. They will utilize design software to create designs compliant with all codes and client standards, perform material selection and takeoffs for basic and intermediate project designs, and review and understand project specifications, requirements, and standards. Additionally, the role requires coordination with other team members to ensure design intent is transferred to the design drawings, and to establish, promote, and assure quality on all projects and work performed. The specialist will provide quality workmanship and support a safety culture within the group, demonstrating safe work practices. There is a possibility to provide technical oversight on basic project tasks.
