About The Position

Thayer Power & Communication Line Construction Co., LLC is seeking an Electrical Distribution Engineer to contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical distribution systems. The role supports distribution engineering projects for investor-owned utilities (IOUs), cooperatives, and municipalities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. The ideal candidate has experience developing engineering solutions for overhead and underground distribution networks. The position involves designing systems in the 4kV–35kV range, conducting power system studies, and preparing construction drawings, material lists, and cost estimates. The engineer coordinates with utilities, municipalities, private clients, permitting agencies, regulatory bodies, project managers, and field crews to support project delivery. Designs must meet NESC, IEEE, and client-specific standards while accounting for safety, reliability, and constructability. Engineering software such as CYME or similar tools is used for modeling and design, and project documentation must be maintained accurately.
