About The Position

Sobieski Enterprises, Inc. is looking to hire a full-time Driver in the Newark, DE to deliver HVAC and plumbing material using a 26' Box Truck, (53' as needed). Requirements

  • Good driving record
  • Basic math skills required to manage inventory, (including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and a willingness to help load and unload trucks
  • Ability and willingness to be out in all kinds of weather
  • Ability to read and write English fluently
  • Ability to read maps and operate GPS systems
  • Happy to drive all day long

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial CDL license is preferred.
  • Distribution center experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver HVAC and plumbing material using a 26' Box Truck, (53' as needed).
  • Deliver valuable equipment and building materials to job sites in the Mid-Atlantic region.
  • Drive building materials from the warehouses to job sites.
  • Bring new supplies, equipment, and unused materials to the warehouses.
  • Assist with loading and unloading the truck.
  • Maintain contact with the Logistics Coordinator to receive delivery or pick up directions.
  • Load against the run sheets and receipts for delivery or pick up.
  • Perform daily and weekly inspections of the truck as required by DOT and company policies.
  • Ensure that all fluids are properly filled.
  • Ensure that all vehicle instruments, devices, and mechanical operations are working properly.
  • Safely operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment.
