About The Position

The Distribution Driver Helper assists delivery drivers with assigned route delivery functions. The role involves delivering products to licensed retailers, checking in orders with customers, handling payments and merchandise accounting, maintaining delivery documentation, and supporting safe and professional equipment operation. The position may also involve operating warehouse machinery and working in varying warehouse conditions. Extended hours, overtime, weekends, and peak-season schedules may be required.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience.
Must obtain a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
Experience in a warehousing environment.
Knowledge of MS Office Suite and/or software applications related to job functions.
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem-solving, problem-management, presentation-development, presentation, and communication skills.
Able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48 pounds.
Able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stations.

Responsibilities

Deliver products as invoiced to specified licensed retailers.
Check in invoiced orders with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
Collect and return payments as required.
Account for all invoices for merchandise delivered and returned.
Collect empty boxes for redelivery as needed.
Complete delivery logs as required.
Follow daily check-in procedures.
Attend monthly safety meetings.
Take required safety courses and other classes as needed.
Report all moving violations to management.
Drive equipment professionally and safely, as needed and within licensing requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
