About The Position

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Distribution Co-ordinator, LBM on a permanent basis on their HABS team. This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK. The role involves assisting with FCL’s high-throughput lumber and building products distribution operations, ensuring a high standard of efficiency, safety, and customer service. The team helps to build Western Canadian communities by providing leadership to Co-op Home Centres that benefits local consumers and contractors. FCL operates as a co-operative, focusing on working together to serve Western Canadians, delivering profits back to communities, and investing in sustainable growth, guided by values of integrity, excellence, and responsibility.

Requirements

  • Have 3-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Have a one-year certificate (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Are familiar with lumber and building products.

Nice To Haves

  • preference for an administrative environment and/or working with operating equipment in a production, manufacturing or distribution facility.
  • Mechanical aptitude training and certification would be an asset
  • experience running mobile equipment including Forklifts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Supervisor with day-to-day operations by unloading, storing, staging, and shipping product to Retail Co-ops.
  • Ensure systems and processes are being utilized to effectively co-ordinate in-bound freight, store product, process and fulfill orders based on shipping schedules and budgeted service levels.
  • Provide training and coverage to LBM Distribution Operators on onloading trucks, fulfilling orders, liaising with carriers and assisting with morning toolbox meetings.
  • Ensure that facility employee’s work within established regulations, policies, and procedures with regards to health, safety, and environment.
