You will build a career that you are proud of, at a company you can believe in. Ferguson is currently seeking a Trainer to join our Front Royal Distribution Center team! This position will coordinate the onboarding and training processes for new hires and cross-training associates within all aspects of the distribution center. Requirements

  • Experience in operation of and training on Powered Industrial Equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and successful implementation of general safety programs
  • Experience working with Ferguson or similar supply chain operations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate training across multiple shifts
  • Prioritize, multitask and manage priorities through effective organization, delegation, and time leadership skills
  • Demonstrates effective listening skills through full understanding & execution
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and our learning management system: (ELM) Enterprise Learning Management
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to groups and communicate seamlessly with audiences across all levels
  • Strong interpersonal & customer service skills and a team-centric mentality
  • Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices

Nice To Haves

  • 2 + years of Training / Trainer experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred
  • Training content development or instructional design is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Leads initial orientation and discusses overall training schedule
  • Conduct and facilitate on the job training programs for Ferguson DC associates
  • Trains associates on safety requirements within the warehouse
  • Completes one-on-one training of job specific warehouse operations and WMS processes
  • Audits work for adherence to training standards and SOPs
  • Meets regularly with Operations Manager and department leaders to provide suggestions for improvement
  • Ensures accurate tracking of training status for each associate
  • Audits training processes for each department to ensure consistency to SOPs
  • Lead all Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training in the warehouse, including initial certification, recertification and accident retraining's.
  • Provide recurrent training for all certification and required safety training programs
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to associates
