About The Position

The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for organizing, directing, and leading the daily distribution functions on floor ensuring safe and efficient flow of materials through the DC. Responsibilities also include managing the safety of associates and efficiently supervising the distribution center while achieving the highest standards in customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or Business Equivalent
  • 2-5 years experience in lead or supervisor role within a distribution environment
  • Understand Distribution material flow requirements and be able to execute in a very action-oriented manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with a range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team
  • Initiates and generates activity

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the health, safety and distribution activities of all assigned hourly associates in the DC
  • Conduct daily start up meetings and discuss all updates pertaining to safety, orders/priorities for the next day and results from previous day
  • Schedule and lead monthly safety meeting and safety topic engagement
  • Conduct safety brief and morning warm up routine
  • Monitor and log attendance. Escalate employee relations issues to DC Manager and HR as appropriate
  • Lead work requirements on floor to exceed customer expectations as measured within given KPI’s
  • Redirect and position resources as needed to achieve high DIFOT results
  • Ensure the Distribution Center and assigned work areas are kept organized and clean
  • Request the use of temporary labor during peak times of operation or for special projects to meet requirements
  • Assist Distribution Center Manager in handling other issues that may arise as directed
  • Coordinate with HR Generalist on all related onboarding and offboarding needs. Ensure newly hired associates complete all required training and report completion rates
