About The Position

Manage the daily distribution activities and supervise warehouse personnel by developing and maintaining a safe, highly motivated, and well-trained work force. This role involves direct supervision of distribution center associates, performing supervisory tasks such as managing start & out time, payroll, training on job requirements, performance reviews, and improvements related to job layout, warehouse efficiency, quality, fill & pick rates, cross-training & team rotations. The supervisor will maintain adequate staff levels while supporting Anchor Harvey safety programs, conduct daily shift meetings, and coordinate activities between customer service/office personnel for inbound/outbound shipments. Additionally, the role requires communication and coordination of logistics activities with other departments/plants, maintaining internal/external shipment accuracy, managing warehouse inventory, and ensuring inventory processing accuracy (IPA) through auditing and a documented cycle count program. The supervisor will also perform layer audits, document findings, troubleshoot problems, and follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including offering plant/company-wide continuous improvement suggestions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma /Equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in a distribution center setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement utilizing lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and problem solving skills with a commitment to drive for results.
  • Ability to speak effectively in front of groups.
  • Basic computer skills including word processing, Excel spreadsheets and email correspondence.
  • Flexibility in work hours.
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments which may include exposure to extreme heat, humidity, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, loud noise, and all weather conditions.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance and stoop, knee, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Direct Supervision of distribution center associates.

  • Perform layer audits/document findings/troubleshoot problems to correct.
  • Follow company policies, procedures and guidelines including the company handbook.
  • Offer plant/companywide continuous improvement suggestions.
