About The Position

Drive Medical is seeking a Distribution Center Supervisor to provide leadership, management, and vision to ensure world-class operating efficiency and capacity. This role involves leading a team in order planning, employee coordination, and process management to support the overall operation. The primary product lines include durable medical goods such as canes, wheelchairs, in-home hospital beds, and respiratory products. The supervisor will be instrumental in driving best-in-class metrics in Safety, Quality, Service, and People.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of experience in Warehouse management
  • 2 years of experience in a position with occasional customer contact
  • Knowledge / experience in SAP or equivalent ERP systems
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

  • Preferred Certification in Lean/Six Sigma

Responsibilities

  • Establishing a culture of advocating for continuous improvement on all levels
  • Managing work-load for non-exempt employees
  • Develop and support warehouse best practices
  • Ensure correct shipment of all customer orders; by training pickers, billers, auditors and other team members to perform to the best of their abilities and high standards of productivity
  • Collaborating cross-functionally within your team and their strengths to better react to the different workloads that come down each day
  • Developing people: Propose training, mentor associates, build-up your team, coach and counsel performance and productivity on a regular basis
  • Maintaining communication and harmony amongst team members
  • Creating awareness through daily productivity meetings and visual communication boards
  • Maintain and ensuring compliance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Partner with safety to ensure proper procedures are followed; and ensure documentation is filled out after accidents or incidents.
  • Ensure the compliance of safety norms to include maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area
  • Serves as contact for customers when necessary
  • Ensuring the compliance of all legal documentation and completion of necessary paperwork for the receipt, storage or shipment of goods
  • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, guiding, development and leading associates with planning, monitoring and appraising job results
  • Demonstrate an attitude of support and foster participation in the environment of continuous improvement
  • Engage, manage, and drive accountability to direct reporting staff
  • Develop people through appropriate training, performance reviews and structured succession plans as appropriate
  • Perform other duties as assigned
