About The Position

The Picking and Receiving Specialist plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations ensuring the efficient movement of inventory through our industrial distribution center. This position is responsible for receiving incoming goods, verifying and organizing inventory, and accurately picking and staging outbound orders for customers or internal departments. You will assist with order fulfillment, stock management, and forklift operations to support our sales teams. Success in this role means maintaining organization, accuracy, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate forklifts and material handling equipment (certification preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift, push, pull, stand, stoop, kneel, squat, and reach as needed
• Capability to move and/or lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds
• Candidates must be able to pass a drug test, physical, and/or MVR check, as applicable for the role

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience in a warehouse or industrial distribution center
• Experience with RF Scanners

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload inbound shipments using forklifts or pallet jacks
• Inspect items for damage and verify accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders
• Properly document receipts in the warehouse management system
• Label, tag, and store inventory in designated storage areas
• Report discrepancies or damaged goods to the appropriate personnel
• Review pick tickets or digital orders to determine items needed
• Accurately pick parts and materials for customer orders or restocking
• Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling, packing, and staging
• Work with shipping team to ensure timely dispatch of outbound goods
• Perform cycle counts and participate in periodic physical inventory audits
• Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
• Assist with returns processing and other warehouse tasks as needed
