About The Position

The Distribution Center (DC) Manager serves as a strategic and operational leader responsible for delivering best-in-class performance. This role leads to end-to-end site operations with a focus on safety, service excellence, operational efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement. The DC Manager drives a high-performance culture, aligning people, processes, and technology to achieve business objectives while enhancing customer experience and optimizing cost. This position is critical to delivering operational excellence and enabling growth by ensuring that the distribution center operates safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer and business expectations. The DC Manager plays a key role in shaping culture, driving performance, and building scalable processes for the future. This role reports to the DC Operations Director and is on-site at the Sparks, NV facility, supporting a multi-shift operation. The position requires regular presence on the warehouse floor and occasional weekend support as needed to ensure operational continuity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in distribution warehousing
  • Proven ability to lead large teams and influence across organizational levels
  • Demonstrated success in implementing Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Strong analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making capability
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP Hana

Responsibilities

  • Own full-site operational performance, including receiving, put-away, inventory management, order fulfillment, site safety and quality.
  • Drive operational excellence through disciplined execution, performance management, and KPI ownership (safety, service, cost, quality, productivity).
  • Ensure optimal facility utilization, workflow design, and labor efficiency.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture with zero-incident mindset and full compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Ensure adherence to quality systems, inventory control discipline, and operational procedures to maintain high accuracy and reliability.
  • Apply Lean Distribution principles, including: 5S and Standard Work; Tiered Daily Management; Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions; Error-proofing (Poka-Yoke); Kaizen events and process optimization initiatives
  • Identify and implement process improvements that drive measurable gains in productivity, cost, and service.
  • Develop and manage site budgets, expenses, and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to guide decision-making and improve business outcomes.
  • Align operational strategies with broader company financial and growth objectives.
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing, engaged team across multiple shifts.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning.
  • Coach and mentor leaders to enable bench strength and succession planning.
  • Partner with Planning, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Sales to ensure alignment on demand, capacity, and service expectations.
  • Drive communication and transparency across teams to support execution and customer satisfaction.
