The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for overseeing all facility operations, including the scheduling and management of drivers, supervisors, leads, and distribution center associates. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of shipments and paperwork, and aligning workload, people management, and process objectives. The manager must enforce all safety, operational, and personnel policies and procedures, and comply with relevant federal, state, and local regulations. A key aspect of the role is safeguarding the distribution center's operations and contents through established security procedures and maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly operating environment. The position also focuses on inventory accuracy, efficient handling of will-call orders, fleet compliance, budget management, and implementing strategies to reduce costs and lead times while increasing inventory turns and order turnaround time. Providing outstanding customer service is a primary responsibility.
