About The Position

As a Forklift Operator for the Distribution Center, you will be responsible for organizing and transporting freight on the dock, including loading and unloading trailers without damaging products or from the production lines or appropriate locations in the warehouse. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Effectively document all necessary information on freight paperwork. All employees must comply with all good manufacturing practices. Such as (wearing hairnets, beard nets, no jewelry, no food in warehouse, no gum or candy, etc.). Employees are expected to keep clean all areas and clean up spills immediately keeping the area free from debris and spills. Must be able to prepare, print labels, pick up orders, load and unload trucks as needed. Pick customer orders with various products while assuring the products are correct. Label, transport, and stock finished product to the appropriate location in the warehouse. Load and unload inbound and/or outbound trucks as needed. Responsible for all documentation including damaged freight, changes in locations. Will be responsible for proper stacking of freight to reduce damages. Assist on monthly inventory count. Perform inventory count based on BOL's when loading and unloading freight in addition to loading and unloading shipments and returns. Maintain cleanliness around dock area, warehouse aisle and hallways. Understand and implement safe, efficient freight handling and required lifting procedures. Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Availability to work five days eight hours shifts from Monday to Friday and overtime hours as needed.
  • Availability to work on Saturdays and Sundays as per the department schedule.
  • Utilize knowledge and requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Knowledge of operation of forklift, safe, efficient freight handling and required lifting procedures.
  • Knowledge of Parity software.
  • Willingness to work overtime and/or Saturdays.
