About The Position
In this role, you will perform cleaning tasks and operation of various types of cleaning equipment to care for and maintain our distribution center.
Requirements
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals and equipment in a safe manner.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices.
Responsibilities
- Follows the Daily Sanitation Schedule for area assigned, including Ambient, Freezer, Cooler, inside and outside facility.
- Performs cleaning of all floor areas such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, including operation of floor scrubbing equipment.
- Cleans, disinfects and maintains supplies in the rest rooms, locker rooms, and Breakrooms.
- Follows Color Code Sanitation Practices.
- Cleans, disinfects and washes all glass surfaces; any high touch surfaces and dusts and polishes furniture.
- Maintains a clean and orderly Custodial Supply Closet.
- Collects trash from receptacles throughout the building, and empties it into designated area.
- Removes unusable cardboard, plastic, and wood pieces throughout the DC and disposes of those items in the designated areas.
- Safely operates the Cardboard Baler Machine, Ride-on Floor Scrubber, and general warehouse equipment as needed.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
