About The Position

OmniCable, LLC (OmniCable), a stable, industry-leading redistributor of wire, cable, fiber, electrical, and communications products, is seeking a Distribution Center Associate to join our Randolph, MA distribution team. This role is responsible for supporting safe, accurate, and efficient warehouse operations, including wire cutting, order fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and committed to delivering outstanding service while supporting the success of our customers and operations. In this role, you will directly contribute to OmniCable's operational excellence by ensuring products are accurately received, processed, customized, and shipped to customers on time. Your work helps maintain inventory accuracy, meet customer expectations, and support the overall success of the distribution center.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic with a dependable, team-oriented attitude.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and follow established safety procedures.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work overtime or occasional weekends as needed.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or material handling experience.
  • Prior experience operating forklifts, order pickers, or other material handling equipment.
  • Experience working with shipping, receiving, inventory, or order fulfillment processes.
  • Familiarity with warehouse technology and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

  • Operate wire processing equipment, including Rim Drive and Re-Spooler machines, to cut wire to customer-specified lengths.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and order pickers, to move, store, pick, and stage inventory.
  • Receive inbound inventory by verifying product quality, quantities, and documentation, including purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading.
  • Process inventory transactions accurately within warehouse systems and prepare products for storage and distribution.
  • Prepare and ship customer orders using the appropriate shipping methods, including LTL and small parcel carriers.
  • Ensure shipments are packed accurately and securely to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize damage.
  • Operate value-added service equipment such as stripe/dye machines, wire strippers, twisters, and lashing equipment to support customer-specific requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following equipment inspection procedures and 5S standards.
  • Support additional warehouse and order fulfillment activities as needed to meet operational demands.
