Distribution Center Associate I
About The Position
FleetPride is the largest aftermarket distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S. The Distribution Center Associate I supports FleetPride branches by expediting parts for delivery to company branches and customers. The role involves picking and organizing orders, handling and stocking materials, recording product data, maintaining safe and orderly work areas, and inspecting inventory for damage or defects. The position is performed in inside and outside conditions, with varying temperatures in a non-climate-controlled environment. Conditions may include minimal chemical hazards, vibration, dust, and equipment noise. OSHA-approved steel-toed safety shoes are required from the first day on the job. Normal stock handling may require lifting or carrying parts over 60 pounds for up to 15% of the time; most lifting and carrying involves parts weighing between 5 and 60 pounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalence certificate.
- At least 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, shipment auditing, inventory control, and stock replenishment.
- Ability to lift or carry parts over 60 pounds for up to 15% of the time, with most lifting and carrying involving parts weighing 5 to 60 pounds.
- OSHA-approved steel-toed safety shoes are required from the first day on the job.
Responsibilities
- Pull and organize branch and customer orders for delivery from the warehouse by part number and quantity, following picking tickets and assigned priorities.
- Manually load and unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
- Stock and maintain inventory items in designated warehouse storage areas.
- Weigh materials or products and record weight and other production data on tags and labels.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects and report damage to supervisors.
