The DC Safety (EHS) & Asset Protection (AP) Manager is an integral part of the DC’s leadership team and is responsible for leading efforts that ensure the safety and security of the workplace for Advance Auto Parts team members (TMs), temporary workers, visitors and vendors. The EHS/AP Manager is responsible for risk mitigation, planning for and providing real-time support and communication should there be a security breach or any other critical safety event. The EHS/AP Manager is accountable for reducing TM injury rates, security, shrink/damage control and helping improve the inventory accuracy of the DC. This position requires the ability to influence, teach, coach and train others. In addition, the EHS/AP Manager is responsible for ensuring operational and procedural compliance, auditing, hazmat compliance, conducting investigations, managing and proposing solutions to mitigate injuries/losses as well as presenting key findings to leadership.
