About The Position

The Manager Distribution Center is responsible for the overall distribution center operations, including customer service, asset management, financials, and team members. This role requires extensive communication with the Regional DC Director on all matters pertaining to the operation of the Distribution Center (DC).

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
  • Excellent leadership and people skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Above average computer skills
  • Must be able to oversee multiple tasks at one time and prioritize accordingly
  • 4+ years of successful management or assistant management in a distribution center

Nice To Haves

  • College degree or logistics certification
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the distribution center, including physical assets, operating costs, safety, loss prevention, inventory integrity, and team members.
  • Manage all distribution center expenses and approve/sign-off on all expenses.
  • Ensure service to stores by maintaining on-time delivery, accuracy of shipments, and good customer relations.
  • Ensure the distribution center is compliant with company operations, policies, and procedures daily.
  • Manage all salary and hourly team members.
  • Provide excellent leadership, training, and guidance throughout the DC to ensure productivity and morale are maintained at a high level.
  • Work with the Regional DC Director to establish annual goals and the plan to achieve them.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources team to support team members and ensure effective recruiting, hiring, and training practices.
  • Ensure on-time evaluations of all team members.
  • Work with the Regional DC Director to prepare annual operating, labor, and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and aggressively manage all risks and risk-related costs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional DC Director and Senior Vice President of Distribution Operations to meet DC and corporate objectives.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
