About The Position

The Distribution Analyst (DA) will be responsible for providing Strategic Analysis, Standard Reports, Non-Distribution Support, Point of Sale (POS) management, and Communication for Region, Vice President of Distribution (VPD), and Distributor Partner Managers (DPMs). This role involves analyzing preliminary revenue and budget data for VPD approval, participating in the planning cycle, validating Distributor Partner (DP) reporting accuracy, and managing region forecasting and distribution cost budget analyses. The DA will also manage Point of Sale (POS) systems and handle invoicing validation and directed invoicing for clean-up. Key responsibilities include creating and improving standard reports, measuring project results, generating canned reports for various needs, and providing execution reporting for RBNA and VPD region reporting. Additionally, the DA will support other functions such as Headquarters, National Accounts, and various regional teams, including managing the Regional National Account Survey Process. Communication duties involve direct liaison with DP finance departments for invoicing, the RBNA payment center, providing weekly updates to VPD, preparing for monthly sales meetings, and managing DP Invoice Payables Aging and Problem Status.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in Analyst role within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
  • Experience in facilitating working relationships with finance leads at Distributor Partners.
  • Highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to convert analytics into insights.
  • Sales-orientation, understands sales drivers and connections between data and sales execution.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Highly organized.
  • Understanding of core distribution roles and organization.
  • Knowledge of retail landscape (local accounts, regional accounts, and National accounts).
  • Comfortable in a non-field role (e.g., 90% in Office).
  • Ability to work cross functionally with RBNA, Regions, and retailers.
  • Ability to work comfortably with IT.
  • High-Level understanding of RBNA reporting technology and capabilities.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Circana data analytics experience/familiarity is preferred.
  • Additional language skills an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze preliminary revenue and budget data for VPD approval.
  • Participate in the Planning Cycle (roll-up, plan-to-actual gap analyses, progress reporting, etc.).
  • Validate Distributor Partner (DP) reporting accuracy (DP performance, live annual business plans, etc.).
  • Manage Region Forecasting.
  • Conduct Distribution Cost Budget Analyses.
  • Manage Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Validate invoices and direct them to Distributor Partners for clean-up.
  • Develop and improve standard reports (e.g., “Chain Performance Tracker”).
  • Measure ongoing results of Phase 1 DP Management Project.
  • Generate Canned Reports (defined by BU, DP management project, and team needs).
  • Provide Execution Reporting for RBNA.
  • Prepare VPD Region Reporting (issues to cover, actions required).
  • Support Headquarters, National Accounts, and other regional functions (Tier II Key Account Manager (KAM), Vice President of Marketing, Key Account Managers/ On-Premise/Musketeers, etc.).
  • Manage Regional National Account Survey Process.
  • Communicate directly with DP finance departments regarding invoicing.
  • Liaise with the RBNA payment center.
  • Provide weekly updates to VPD and prepare materials for monthly sales meetings.
  • Manage DP Invoice Payables Aging and Problem Status.

  • Base salary range for this position is $72,000 - $108,000 + cash incentives.
