About The Position

This is a Summer Internship position focused on Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) Engineering. The intern will work with the DLT team as a backend developer, contributing to the development, maintenance, and support of Tradeweb’s blockchain initiatives. The role involves implementing client requests, facilitating testing of DLT processes, and collaborating with other teams to ensure the quality of core libraries. The internship combines classroom-style learning with project-based work, offering practical, hands-on experience and guidance from experienced professionals. Interns are encouraged to explore the application of AI and emerging technologies within their area of business.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of modern software languages – C, C++, Java, Python.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and concurrency/multithreading.
  • Familiarity with Git and comfort working in a Linux environment.
  • A background or interest in building and testing large-scale, real-time distributed systems.
  • An interest in blockchain technology, smart contracts, or cryptocurrency.
  • Willing to take ownership of his/her work, working both independently and within a small team.
  • Ability to reason about and articulate the tradeoffs behind technical decisions – latency, throughput, readability.
  • Comfortable speaking to non-technical employees, clients, and partners about the work you support.
  • A passion for technology and motivation to learn quickly in a start-up type environment.
