Responsibilities

  • Must be productive under tight timeframes, balance multiple and competing priorities and maintain goal-directed behavior and performance sometimes under stressful conditions.
  • Interact courteously with others.
  • Performance and behavior must demonstrate consideration of the workload concerns of others and must not negatively affect productivity and morale of the unit.
  • Technical and administrative work supporting a statewide distributed computer systems network for use by end-users including hardware, software, and telecommunication components of distributed systems.
  • Support multiple office sites, which may require extensive travel.
  • Assist in writing and maintaining up-to-date technical documentation and operating procedures related to supported offices, networks, hardware, software, and applications.
  • Follow the standard implementation of policies, procedures, best practices, and systems operations.
  • Perform infrastructure related tasks, such as Active Directory users and computers.
  • Maintain technology equipment inventory.
  • Assist with computer and network support for the Division’s offices located throughout the state to include but not limited to, office relocations/closures, circuit installations/deletes, router installations/removals, switch configurations and deployments, electrical requirements, and network cabling.
  • Perform computer Imaging, configuration, setup, and relocation.
  • Troubleshoot Local Area Networks (LAN), Personal Computers (PC) and the Division’s systems/applications issues as it pertains to the LAN or PC.
  • Handle incidents and service requests accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure IT Training for New Employees is provided in a timely manner and delivered following training guidelines.
  • Deliver other relevant IT training as necessary.
  • Assist with developing IT training materials for the Division.
  • Perform other duties as required, assigned, or delegated.
