About The Position

Endurion is seeking a Distance Learning (DL) Instructor for the Joint Special Operations University (JSOU) mission in support of United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). This role involves providing subject matter expertise support to staff, faculty, and students, focusing on military studies and the execution of JSOU’s educational support services. The position requires supporting various levels of special operations forces, including USSOCOM HQ, JSOC, TSOCs, Components, and SOF Forces. The instructor will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, evaluating, assessing, and administering DL courses for special operations professionals and enablers. Additionally, the role involves developing agendas, leading collaborative meetings for Professional Military Education (PME)/Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) support, and maintaining currency in a special operations curriculum area relevant to PME. Maintaining linkages between JSOU DL programs and Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) is also a key aspect of the position.

Requirements

  • BA/BS required in any field. Degree must be from a regionally accredited U.S. college/university or internationally recognized college/university.
  • Familiarity with education collaborative tools (SharePoint, Blackboard).
  • 2 years’ leadership experience of a national security or national policy program or organization.
  • 3 years’ practical experience within the professional military education or training community.
  • Able to attain Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) system administrator account and three years’ experience with the JKO learning content management system.
  • 2 years’ academic expertise on subjects of military joint operations.
  • 2 years’ instructor and project or program management experience.
  • Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Provides DL education support to USSOCOM HQ, Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), Theater Special Operations Command (TSOCs), Components, and SOF Forces.
  • Design, develop, implement, evaluate, assess, and administer DL courses for special operations professionals and enablers.
  • Develop agendas and lead collaborative meetings to coordinate and enact Professional Military Education (PME)/Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) support.
  • Maintain currency to teach a special operations curriculum area relevant to PME.
  • Maintain linkages as required between the JSOU DL programs and Joint Knowledge Online (JKO).
