About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Disposal Clerk to join its team in Springfield, Virginia. The role is responsible for receiving, inventorying, controlling, and processing excess or unserviceable property, including electronic waste, for transfer, shipment, or destruction. The position requires maintaining a Top Secret/SCI Government security clearance and performing physically demanding material-handling tasks.

Requirements

Must have and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Government security clearance.
Must be physically able to lift objects up to 65 pounds per package and maneuver up to 80 pounds.
Must be able to withstand rigorous physical demands, including bending, squatting, lifting, and standing for long periods.
Must be able to operate electric and manual pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

Inventory excess property upon pickup and sign NGA Forms 4151-12A (Request for Equipment Turn-In) and 4151-12B (Request for Destruction), accepting responsibility for accountable items and removing them from the customer's work area within five business days of receipt of the work order.
Inventory electronic waste scheduled for destruction, including hard drives and memory sticks, by serial number; sign for the items and control them in a secure holding area until transfer to the destruction activity.
Obtain signature receipt for hard drives upon transfer to the destruction activity.
Remove barcodes and other organization labels from equipment.
Coordinate Receipt-in-Place for excess property with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), when applicable.
Turn in excess or unserviceable assets to DLA for final disposition and update the PeopleSoft Asset Management system.
Move or ship property to other authorized activities in accordance with applicable requirements and procedures.
Guide customers when documentation is incomplete or property has not been properly sanitized.
Report to site security any property delivered to the Material Handling Center that is not properly sanitized.
Build pallets or boxes for storage or shipping purposes.
