About The Position

RTX is offering an exceptional foundation for students to work on complex problems, advance their skills, and create a safer, more connected world through internships, co-ops, and full-time careers in the aerospace and defense industry. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session running from January to July/August, requiring students to take a semester off from coursework. As an Engineering Co-op at Collins Aerospace, you will broaden your background with a practical approach to engineering, merging theoretical knowledge with practical applications. The team is responsible for the design and development of dozens of unique displays for Commercial and Military Avionics, supporting the full avionics industry. You will work with an outstanding team of engineers, tackle challenges, apply problem-solving skills in a hands-on environment, and create or implement changes to product design or development processes.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
  • Experience working on collaborative projects and teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • This job requires a U.S. Person.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read hardware schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Comfortable with C++ or Python
  • Experience with optics and optical measurements.
  • Familiar with model-based engineering
  • Prior internship, coop, or other work experience

Responsibilities

  • Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January – July/August (it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
