Akina Pharmacy•Sterling, VA
•$55,000 - $70,000•Onsite

About The Position

The Dispensing Technician Supervisor leads a team of dispensing technicians through final-stage prescription fulfillment, ensuring prescriptions are filled, labeled, and prepared for pharmacist verification accurately, on time, and in compliance with USP standards and Akina SOPs. This is a hands-on management role for an experienced pharmacy technician; a pharmacist license is not required. The supervisor owns daily workflow across fill stations, assigning technicians and adjusting workflow to meet priorities and performance targets. The role includes developing the technician team, monitoring performance, coordinating resources as prescription volumes change, and resolving operational barriers. The supervisor partners with dispensing pharmacists and the Clinical Pharmacy team to keep prescriptions moving and resolve issues promptly. As the first escalation point for technician and workflow concerns, the supervisor elevates clinical decisions, significant cross-functional matters, and decisions requiring broader authority to the Dispensing Manager.
