Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current South Carolina Pharmacy Technician Registration
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one year of pharmacy or related healthcare experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- Experience in an independent pharmacy setting
- Experience working in a compounding laboratory
- Experience with Pharmetika pharmacy software
- Experience using Slack or similar communication platforms
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed dispensing productivity goals following the training period: Average 225 dispenses daily, Average 1,125 dispenses weekly
- Dispense compounded medications and package products appropriately
- Select appropriate packaging and labeling materials
- Manage inventory and maintain stock accuracy
- Maintain accurate documentation of medications prepared, dispensed, and disposed of within pharmacy systems
- Perform visual inspections of sterile products
- Assist with quality control activities for sterile and non-sterile compounded medications
- Participate in internal communications through Slack
- Cross-train in other departments and locations as needed
- Support direct patient care by ensuring accuracy and quality of all dispensed products
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
