About The Position

The Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring employees report to work as scheduled, maintaining and updating driver schedules, and reporting safety concerns. This role involves assigning substitute drivers, planning and scheduling transportation for special events, and assisting in route and schedule development. The Dispatcher will also handle heavy telephone volume, communicate via two-way radio, maintain records, and ensure safety inspections and vehicle cleanliness. Additionally, they will assist maintenance with vehicle scheduling and review onboard video and GPS monitoring. Requirements

• 2+ years working as a dispatcher or in high-volume customer service/call center environments
• High school diploma or equivalent certification degree
• Complete all training requirements
• Pre-employment background checks apply

Responsibilities

• Ensure employees report to work as scheduled and complete and file paperwork.
• Maintain, manage and update driver schedules on a daily basis.
• Report safety concerns, violations, or issues to the Operations Manager.
• Assign substitute drivers as needed.
• Plan, schedule, and assign drivers for special transportation including field trips, athletic events etc.
• Assist in developing routes and schedules.
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating charter trips.
• Answer heavy telephone volume and communicate on two-way radio.
• Maintain records of mileage, fuel consumption, and other related data.
• Ensure employees perform the required daily safety vehicle inspection and buses are cleaned daily as required by law.
• Assist maintenance in scheduling vehicles to report to the shop for maintenance.
• Review of onboard video and GPS monitoring.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
