About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Household Goods Moving Dispatcher to join our St. Louis operation. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in the moving and relocation industry, with hands-on experience coordinating drivers, crews, equipment, and daily dispatch activity for household goods moves. The Dispatcher will be responsible for planning and assigning work, communicating with drivers and crews, supporting customer service, and ensuring moves are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Requirements

  • Prior experience dispatching in the household goods moving industry is required.
  • Strong understanding of local, intrastate, and interstate moving operations.
  • Knowledge of packing, loading, delivery, warehouse handling, accessorial services, and driver/crew coordination.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick operational decisions.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn company systems.
  • Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with owner-operators, van operators, crews, and agency networks is preferred.
  • Familiarity with moving industry systems such as MoversSuite, AS400, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of dispatch or operations experience in household goods moving preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily dispatch of drivers, crews, trucks, trailers, and equipment for household goods moves.
  • Review booked orders, move details, service requirements, dates, accessorials, and customer expectations.
  • Communicate clearly with drivers, crews, customers, sales, operations, and customer service teams.
  • Monitor job progress throughout the day and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Ensure crews have the proper paperwork, equipment, materials, and instructions before arriving at the job.
  • Assist with scheduling pack, load, delivery, shuttle, and warehouse-related work.
  • Support compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and service quality expectations.
  • Update systems with accurate notes, job status, driver assignments, and operational changes.
  • Help identify operational conflicts, capacity concerns, or service failures before they impact the customer.
