About The Position

To facilitate communication and act as a central control station for security officers at the main hospital campus. Ensures all calls for service are dispatched and responded to by officers in a timely manner. Follows up with field officers during calls, documents all activities in the dispatch system. Remains calm under pressure, especially during multiple calls for Disservice.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years' police or security dispatching experience, preferably in healthcare.
Current and valid New Jersey driver's license.
Minimum four hours training in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Verbal Intervention.
Ability to communicate effectively (oral and in writing).
Ability to effectively interact with customers to meet their needs.
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment.
Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
Ability to set priorities, make effective decisions, and respond quickly to customer's needs.

Nice To Haves

Associate's Degree preferred.
Formal dispatcher certifications recommended.
