About The Position

Central Plumbing is seeking a Dispatcher to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role is responsible for coordinating daily service operations, scheduling technicians, managing incoming customer requests, and ensuring efficient communication between customers, field technicians, and leadership. The ideal candidate will be organized, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in dispatching, scheduling, customer service, call center operations, or administrative support.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based scheduling systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines.
  • Professionalism and sound decision-making skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective during high-volume periods and schedule changes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in plumbing, HVAC, home services, construction, or multi-location operations.
  • Experience with ServiceTitan or similar dispatching software.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate daily schedules for plumbing service technicians.
  • Dispatch technicians to service calls based on availability, location, skill set, and priority.
  • Answer inbound customer calls and schedule service appointments.
  • Communicate appointment updates, delays, and technician arrival windows to customers.
  • Monitor technician progress throughout the day and adjust schedules as necessary to maximize efficiency.
  • Coordinate emergency service requests and same-day appointments.
  • Maintain accurate job information and customer records within ServiceTitan.
  • Assist with membership scheduling, follow-up appointments, and warranty work.
  • Collaborate with technicians, managers, and office staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain accurate records, reporting, documentation, and system updates.
  • Support operational efficiency through scheduling, coordination, reporting, and workflow management.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, policies, and standards.
  • Track and update job statuses, technician notes, and customer communications.
  • Assist with administrative projects and office support as needed.
  • Provide professional communication and support to customers, vendors, leadership, and team members.
  • Resolve customer concerns or escalate issues appropriately.
  • Foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism during all interactions.
