About The Position

Elgin Four Seasons Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Dispatcher to join our growing Plumbing Division. This role will work closely with the Lead Dispatcher to coordinate daily operations, optimize technician scheduling, and ensure exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively with customers and field staff, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Previous dispatching, scheduling, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with computers, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in plumbing, HVAC, home services, or related trades is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Lead Dispatcher to coordinate daily technician routes and schedules.
  • Dispatch plumbing professionals to customer appointments efficiently and effectively.
  • Schedule and coordinate service calls, inspections, site visits, estimates, and follow-up appointments.
  • Monitor technician availability and adjust schedules as needed throughout the day.
  • Ensure dispatch software and scheduling systems remain accurate and up to date.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding appointment scheduling, arrival times, and service updates.
  • Address customer concerns and assist in resolving scheduling-related issues.
  • Provide a positive customer experience through clear and timely communication.
  • Serve as a communication hub between field technicians, management, and customers.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and department managers to address scheduling challenges and operational needs.
  • Assist with job prioritization and emergency service coordination when necessary.
  • Perform light clerical duties, data entry, and documentation.
  • Track and maintain various departmental KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Assist with reporting, job tracking, and operational follow-up activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and support departmental workflow processes.
