About The Position

NeighborHealth, formerly East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, is a large community health center serving the greater Boston area with a commitment to patient and community health. The Dispatcher/Supervisor role is responsible for effective and efficient dispatch communications during their shift, adhering to departmental policies and providing high-quality services. This position involves full orientation to NeighborHealth, PACE, and the Transportation Department, ensuring the dispatcher has the necessary knowledge and skills. The role requires providing efficient response and transport to participants, scheduling and verifying trip information, assigning vehicles and drivers, and managing dispatch operations. Additionally, the dispatcher will maintain customer information in the computer system and assign breaks and lunch times to drivers to ensure maximum coverage.

Requirements

HS Diploma/GED required.
Current driver’s license.
Must have at least one year experience in this field and preferably one year experience as a dispatcher.
Must have a working knowledge of the complete service area.
Must have computer skills and use systems such as Microsoft Office and dispatching software.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to make common sense decisions.
Ability to complete CPR and First Aide Certifications.

Responsibilities

Will be trained in full orientation of NeighborHealth, PACE and the Transportation Department to equip the Dispatcher with the knowledge and skills required performing the job in accordance with the company standards.
Provide effective and efficient response and transport to all participants, PACE centers and requests.
Dispatch vehicles to meet the transport needs of the PACE participants i.e., answer phones, schedule and verify trip information, assign vehicles and drivers, dispatch, etc.…
Will enter and maintain customer information in computer system including names, addresses and other participant’s information.
Assign all breaks and lunch times to all drivers to ensure maximum coverage.
