About The Position

The dispatcher coordinates and controls the flow of wholesale parts orders from the dealership to body shops, independent repair facilities, fleets, and other wholesale customers. They ensure parts are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on time. Wholesale parts sales are a major revenue stream for Ford dealerships. A skilled dispatcher keeps deliveries smooth, customers happy, and the parts department running efficiently. They’re the behind-the-scenes force that keeps repair shops supplied and dealership operations profitable.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming wholesale parts orders, verify availability, and prioritize based on urgency, customer type, and delivery routes.
• Assign delivery routes to drivers, optimize stops, and adjust plans based on traffic, weather, or urgent add-on orders.
• Act as the central point between parts counter staff, wholesale customers, delivery drivers, and the inventory/warehouse team.
• Provide instructions, handle issues on the road, and ensure drivers have correct paperwork and parts.
• Address missing parts, backorders, incorrect deliveries, or customer complaints quickly and professionally.
• Work closely with the parts manager to understand stock levels, incoming shipments, and substitutions.
• Use dealership DMS systems (CDK, and automated dispatch system Elite Extra) to track orders, print invoices, and log deliveries.
• Maintain strong relationships with wholesale accounts by ensuring reliability and responsiveness.
