About The Position

C&G is seeking a hands-on Dispatcher to manage its final-mile delivery network in the Greater Albany, NY area. This role involves overseeing logistics, coordinating with people, and ensuring smooth operations. The Dispatcher will be responsible for managing contracted motor carriers and delivery teams to ensure timely and condition-perfect delivery of home appliances to customers. This position requires a blend of strategy, leadership, and execution, focusing on managing third-party delivery partners, tracking key performance indicators, and directly influencing customer satisfaction to maintain an efficient delivery network and excellent customer experience.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, repair services, or 3rd-party relationship management.
  • Passion for working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on exceptional customer service.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, shifting priorities, and rapid changes with ease.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and numerical) across all organizational levels.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and highly organized.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate degree or college-level coursework in business is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the performance management of 3PL service providers and drive continuous improvement in customer delivery experiences.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities to enhance overall service quality.
  • Track and monitor invoicing to catch discrepancies or overpayment trends.
  • Conduct weekly KPI reviews across your local network to monitor objectives and key results.
  • Collaborate with the client’s team to address load-out or delivery issues and identify root causes.
  • Maintain strong communication with 3PLs to support growth and smooth operations.
  • Assist in resolving escalated service orders and general customer dissatisfaction.
  • Support the Sr. Manager in projects and initiatives that enhance service network growth.
